Please help us find Winston!

Neighbors are posting flyers around town, DogFinders are tracking his scent, strangers are posting offers of help on Facebook from as far away as Charlotte, NC.

Winston is a white Cockapoo dog with light beige markings and weighs about 25 lbs. He has a short bobbed tail and runs like a bunny.

If you see Winston, please do not engage him, he may run off. Please call us ASAP. Winston is in survival mode and may consider people and other animals a threat to his safety and survival.

If you can, stay in the area where he is, don’t give him eye contact and take a picture with your cell phone camera. If he is interested in you and comes towards you, be calm and remain still or sit on the ground and see if he will come closer to you. If he does seem interested in you, talk in a quiet loving gentle tone. He is hungry and may be gently lured with steak, hot dogs, cheese, etc.

If he comes to you, know that the slightest thing could spook him and make him run further out of the area. Thank you for caring; for following his story, and for helping reunite this little, scared, cold, hungry dog with his family.
